The New World Trade Center Train Station, located in Lower Manhattan, New York City. It was built as part of the redevelopment of the World Trade Center complex following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The transportation hub’s design is intended to symbolize a phoenix rising from the ashes, signifying the rebirth and resilience of Lower Manhattan after the 9/11 attacks. The Oculus itself is a massive, light-filled space with soaring arches and a vast central hall. It has become a symbol of the city and a popular destination for both commuters and tourists.
